CAEP participants interested in agribusiness will follow a skill building plan based on previous experience and the needs of host organizations. Trainees applying for agricultural marketing may be offered placements at more than one location to learn about the services involved in moving an agricultural product from the farm to the consumer. Activities participants may be involved in include planning production, growing and harvesting, grading, packing, transport, storage, food processing, distribution, advertising and sale. Agribusiness placements may also include the exchange of information, budgeting and financing required for successful agricultural operations.

- Understanding of the production process
- Evaluating purchasing decisions such as equipment and supplies
- Distribution
- Retail Sales
